WERC organizes several community cleanups each year.

Our clean-ups involve litter pick-up, sweeping, and clearing the back parking lot at the West End Resource Centre. We invite all community members to join these impactful activities. We provide all necessary supplies like gloves, garbage pickers, bags, and maps to guide your efforts. Complimentary water and snacks are offered.

Beyond the cleanups we also monitor and report major litter and waste issues in our neighbourhoods. For safe disposal of used needles, we have a 24-hour drop-off container in our rear parking lot.

Throughout the year, we encourage residents to utilize local resources like City of Winnipeg 4R Recycling Depots, West End BIZ Free Graffiti Removal, and Speedy Cart shopping cart collection.
